Call Memphis the Home of the Blues, Birthplace of Rock ‘n Roll, or Grind City. Whatever you want to call it is fine.

Fact is, comic ventriloquist Funny Dummy is planning a tour and may entertain at Cannon Theatre for the Performing Arts.

“I’ve been looking forward to this tour for quite some time,” says the Ventriloquist who got his start as a teen by carving a ventriloquist figure out of wood!

“Yes, while my friends were playing video games and sometimes causing trouble, I was the dork who was sitting at home working on a ventriloquist dummy,” says Justin (his real name).

“It’s fun to tour because I find that, no matter where I’m at, people universally like to laugh.”

“They may have different favorite foods, a slower or faster way of talking, etc., but everyone likes to laugh at me and themselves.”

The comedy tour will also include other stops, but this Memphis show will be special because it’s the place Elvis called home.

The comedian’s main hope? That the performance will be around the same time the Memphis Grizzlies have a home game. “I love competitive sports,” says the Ventriloquist.
